This extremely compact and lightweight emergency signal transmitter was specially developed for watersports enthusiasts, adventurers, and outdoor enthusiasts. As the world's first PLB with a Galileo and GPS receiver, it offers superior localization accuracy. Whether you are on the high seas, in the mountains, or in remote areas without cell phone reception: one press of a button is enough to alert professional rescue forces.
Product Highlights and Functionality
As soon as the FastFind 220 is activated, it transmits a unique ID and your precise GPS/Galileo coordinates on the 406 MHz frequency to the global Cospas-Sarsat satellite network. Rescue Coordination Centers (RCCs) are alerted within minutes and receive regular position updates (accurate to within 62 meters).
Additionally, the device sends out a 121.5 MHz homing signal that helicopters and rescue vessels can use to pinpoint your location precisely in close proximity. An integrated, ultra-bright SOS Morse LED strobe light also visually alerts others to your presence in the dark.
Unlike an EPIRB (which is tied to a vessel), a PLB can be registered to a person. This allows you to use the device with complete flexibility – simply switch boats or take it with you on your next hiking trip.
