The Blue Sea BS 7601 M-ACR Automatic Charging Relay essentially performs the function of a battery isolator, but is fully automatic and voltage-controlled.
When the alternator (generator) is running and the starter battery has reached a sufficient charging voltage, the relay closes automatically, and the charging current from the alternator also flows to the house battery.
The Start Isolation (SI) of the Blue Sea BS 7601 M-ACR Automatic Charging Relay protects sensitive electronics from overloads from the engine circuit by temporarily isolating them during engine starting. It also protects the main circuit from voltage drops.
The compact size of the Blue Sea BS 7601 M-ACR Automatic Charging Relay allows for three mounting options: surface mount, rear mount, or panel mount.
