BS 5032 - Two power circuits in one compact fuse block
The Blue Sea BS 5032 Split-Bus Fuse Block from the proven ST series is a real problem solver for complex 12V and 24V electrical systems. It features a so-called "split-bus" (shared positive pole). This means that the positive inputs are divided into two completely isolated sections, but share a common negative busbar for the return lines.
This is ideal for providing switched power (e.g., for interior lighting, navigation, instruments) in one group and constant power (24-hour power for bilge pumps, gas detectors, or radio memory leads) in the other. You only need one single fuse box to do this!
Advantages of the BS 5032 - Highest safety and maritime quality
The split-bus block also offers the uncompromising quality of Blue Sea Systems. The current-carrying busbars are made of heavily tinned copper, which guarantees excellent conductivity and makes the system extremely resistant to corrosion. All terminal screws (#8-32) are equipped with captive star washers so that the ring terminals cannot come loose even under the strongest vibrations at sea.
The transparent polycarbonate cover can be opened without tools thanks to the push-button latch and reliably protects against short circuits. It meets the strict insulation requirements of ABYC and USCG. On the outside, it provides indentations for format labels (sold separately).
Advantages at a glance:
- Split-Bus Technology: 2 isolated positive feeds in one block (ideal for switched vs. unswitched power).
- All-in-One Wiring: Common, integrated negative busbar drastically reduces cable clutter.
- For 12 circuits: Uses standard ATO/ATC blade fuses (max. 30A per circuit).
- Marine-grade: Tinned copper busbars provide maximum protection against corrosion.
- Safe insulation: Meets ABYC/USCG requirements for maximum safety on board.
- Vibration-resistant: Terminal screws with integrated star washers for long-lasting, secure contact.
