Blue Sea Systems 5029 Blade Fuse Block, 12 Circuit with Negative Bus

Blue Sea Systems 5029 Blade Fuse Block, 12 Circuit with Negative Bus

The Blue Sea Systems BS 5029 ST fuse blockoffers a professional solution for protecting 12 circuitson boats and yachts. It uses standard ATO/ATC blade fuses and is designed for a total load of 100A (max. 30A per branch) in 12V/24V electrical systems. This model is deliberately designed without an integrated negative busbarand is perfect when ground cables are centralized separately. The insulating polycarbonate covermeets the strictest ABYC/USCG standards.

BS 5029 - Secure and structured power distribution for large groups of consumers

The Blue Sea BS 5029 fuse block from the ST series is the optimal choice for safely fusing complex 12V or 24V electrical installations. Via the central positive terminal (M5 stud), the block distributes power to up to 12 separately fused consumer circuits. The current-carrying components are made of tin-plated copper, which ensures first-class conductivity and makes the system extremely resistant to the typical corrosion found in harsh maritime environments.

The difference between Blue Sea BS5029 and BS 5026

Both 12-circuit fuse blocks offer maximum safety but differ in their electrical design:

  • Model BS 5029 (this product): Comes without a negative busbar. This fuse block serves solely for positive power distribution. It is the ideal solution if your consumers' ground cables are already bundled at another central location on the vessel (e.g., at a large, separate ground busbar).
  • Model BS 5026: Features an integrated negative busbar to connect both positive and negative cables directly to the fuse block.

Secure insulation and practical handling with Blue Sea Systems

The transparent cover made of reinforced polycarbonate protects all current-carrying parts and meets the strict insulation requirements of the ABYC and USCG to prevent short circuits. The clever push-button latch allows for quick, tool-free opening. Inside the cover, two spare fuses can be stored within easy reach. On the outside, there are precision-fit recesses for labeling tags (sold separately) to keep every circuit clearly identified.

The most important advantages at a glance:

  • Extensive capacity: Distributes and protects 12 separate circuits (max. 30A per output / 100A total).
  • Clear system architecture: Without a negative busbar – perfect for networks with an external ground connection point.
  • Maritime-grade: Tin-plated copper busbars offer maximum protection against corrosion.
  • Highest safety: ABYC/USCG-compliant insulating cover against accidental short circuits.
  • Vibration-resistant: Robust terminal screws (#8-32) with integrated, captive star washers.
