Compact power distribution directly on the battery
The Blue Sea BS 5024 ST Fuse Block Kit simplifies the wiring of additional accessories on board. Instead of having to run long cable routes to a central fuse box, this system is mounted directly onto the battery's terminal studs (3/8" or M10). This allows essential accessory loads, such as bilge pumps or radios, to be fused directly with absolutely minimal voltage drop.
The difference: BS 5024 Kit vs. BS 5023 Single Block
While the BS 5023 model only includes the positive fuse block (for the positive terminal), the BS 5024 is a complete installation kit. It additionally includes a precision-fit 4-circuit negative busbar, which is bolted onto the battery's negative terminal. This allows not only the positive, but also the negative return lines of the devices to be connected neatly, professionally, and centrally at the battery. Furthermore, the 5024 kit includes matching label stickers as well as a total of eight high-quality nylon-insulated ring terminals (4x for 1.5–2.5 mm² and 4x for 4–6 mm² cables).
Maximum safety at sea with Blue Sea Systems
The fuse block holds up to four ATO/ATC blade fuses and handles a total load of a full 100 amps. The screw-down cable terminals (#8-32) with integrated star washers ensure an absolutely firm contact, even in high vibration or heavy swell conditions. The included polycarbonate cover meets the strict insulation requirements of the ABYC and USCG. Another crucial safety feature: the system is ignition-protected (ISO 8846 / SAE J1171) and can therefore be installed in the engine compartments of gasoline-powered boats without concern.
