The Blue Sea BS 7183 circuit breaker is designed for the highest maritime demands and serves as a high-performance main circuit breaker for surface mounting. With a capacity of 50 amps and a maximum operating voltage of 48V DC, it reliably protects expensive onboard electronics from overloads and short circuits. The circuit breaker combines circuit protection with a practical switching function: the circuit can be manually disconnected for maintenance work using the red trip button.

Intelligent design for harsh conditions

A key safety feature is the "trip-free" function. This ensures that the switch cannot be forcibly held in the closed position during a fault or short circuit. The status of the circuit can be read quickly at any time: a tripped state is immediately indicated by the clearly visible yellow reset lever.

Thanks to the robust IP67-rated housing, the circuit breaker is completely dust-tight and withstands temporary submersion (up to 1 meter for max. 30 minutes). It is also ignition-protected according to SAE J1171, making it completely safe for installation in the engine compartments of gasoline-powered boats.
